Our Journey

01

The Spark: Improvising with Silk

Before Travel Bars existed, barefoot massage required creativity and adaptability. Shown here is an early method using silk straps tied to fixed beams for balance and support. It was the beginning of a journey—one driven by the desire to bring barefoot bodywork anywhere, even in the most unconventional settings.

02

The Foundation: Fixed Wooden Bars

As barefoot massage evolved, ceiling-mounted wooden bars became the gold standard. Secure and sturdy, they offered better control and stability—but installation was costly, permanent, and not always possible. While effective, these fixed systems highlighted the need for a portable solution that could travel wherever the therapist did.

03

The First Freestanding Frame

This early wooden version marked a breakthrough: a freestanding Ashiatsu bar system that required no installation. While functional and elegant, it was heavy, difficult to assemble, and not built for travel. It planted the seed for a more portable solution—something lighter, faster, and flight-ready.

04

Lighter and Stronger: The Dowel Prototype

This hybrid version combined a wooden dowel with a metal frame, offering increased portability and strength. Easier to assemble and transport, it became the first truly airline-ready system. Tested in competitions and real-world practice, this prototype laid the foundation for what would become the final Travel Bars design.

05

The Travel Bars: Let's Go Places

Lightweight, durable, and truly travel-ready, the final all-metal version of the Travel Bars was built for barefoot massage without borders. Easy to assemble and airline-friendly, this setup empowers therapists to practice anywhere—from beaches to clinics to world championships. The journey led here, and it’s still moving.
